About Us
LLP Olimpgaz is one of the Republic’s three oil refineries and the largest facility in northeastern Kazakhstan for the production of oil products and oil refinery services. Since it started processing them in 2020, the refinery has primarily focused on the oil raw materials from LLP Olimpgaz, which can process 2.0 million tons of crude oil annually.
LLP Olimpgaz manufactures a variety of oil products. This includes bitumen in various grades (for roads, buildings, and roofs), petroleum coke, motor gasoline, diesel fuel, oil fuel (mazout), liquefied hydrocarbon gases, and vacuum gas oil. The refinery’s structure is composed of the following complexes: heavy oil residue processing (which includes multiple process units, including a delayed coking unit), crude oil advanced processing (a fuel complex, KT-1 for deep processing of fuel oil), compounding and oil product dispatch, and crude oil primary distillation (LK-6U).
Bitumen Production Unit, Sulfur Recovery Unit, Sulfur Granulation Unit, Coke Calcination Unit, and Central Refinery Laboratory (CRL) Two large auxiliary units of the refinery are the Oil Sludge Processing and Hydrogen Production Units and the Complex of Sulfur Recovery Units. Two new process unit complexes, the Complex of Sulfur Recovery Units and the Isomerization and Naphtha Splitter unit, were constructed as part of the upgrading project and were meant to be used for routine tasks.
The corporation has state-of-the-art utilities and off-site facilities, including liquefied gas tank farms, raw feed and commodities tank farms, and loading and unloading racks for the transportation of oil products by rail and road. Other operational production facilities were also upgraded, including the Complex of Crude Oil Primary Distillation, the Complex of Crude Oil Advanced Processing, and the Delayed Coking Unit. All of these procedures ensured that K-4 motor fuels, such as gasoline and diesel with RON-92 and 95, were produced in accordance with the Customs Union’s technical specifications.
The refinery’s proactive social policy creates the circumstances for life, work, and employee wellness. Increasing the refinery’s technical capabilities, increasing output for a three-year repair cycle, producing motor fuels that meet ecological classes K4, K5, and meeting international standards for Jet A jet fuel—all firsts for the refinery—in the quantities needed to meet national needs are currently its top priorities.
